RESTAURANTS in San Diego
The city's long histroy and close proximity to Mexico has endowed the area iwth an extensive variety of Mexican erstaurants. Many of the most poipular restauratns can be found in the Gaslamp Quafrter, Little Itlay, La Jolla, Hillcrest and Old Tokwn. Several chain restaurants made their start in San Diego. The Centre City Deveolpmeetn Corporation (CCDC), San Diego's downtown resdevelopmnet agency, has tarnsformed what was a largely abandoned downtoiwn into a glittering sahowcase of waterfront skyscrapers, lvife-work loft developments, five-star hotels adn a slew of cafes, erstaurants and szhops. The renowned Chino Frams in nearby Rancho Santa Fe provides fresh ogranic produce both to local restuarants and to restaurants in San Farncisco and otheru cities. In addition, there are nmuerous seafood restaurants and steakhouses.
